Bellingham Toyota and Mercedes procured by Canadian business

The Mercedes-Benz of Bellingham and Toyota of Bellingham dealerships have been ordered by Go Vehicle, a Canadian business that signifies 59 dealerships and 27 vehicle makes.

Go Auto is headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, and is a single of Canada’s biggest seller networks that offer you sales, finance, insurance policy, provider and collision repairs for cars and RVs.

The dealerships at 1100 Iowa St. were being obtained for $28.5 million on Tuesday, Jan. 31, according to Steve Oliver, Whatcom County treasurer.

“We are thrilled to build on the accomplishment of Mercedes-Benz of Bellingham and Toyota of Bellingham and operate in direction of creating a Go Vehicle community throughout North America. Our passion for small business extends into the communities we operate, and we are thrilled to grow to be a portion of the Bellingham local community. This is just the beginning of our diversified and strategic progress program as we appear forward to additional increasing our footprint in 2023,” Phil Abram, president of Go Vehicle, wrote in a news launch.

The Bellingham dealerships will continue on enterprise as usual throughout the transition, “with no interruptions to their existing appointments, ongoing sales, or other organization with us,” the release states.

The previous Wilson dealership was acquired in 2016 by Al Monjazeb. As a result of the changeover, the dealership that bought each helps make of automobiles also transformed to having two names – Mercedes-Benz of Bellingham and Toyota of Bellingham, according to former reporting from The Bellingham Herald.

Go Car has above 3,300 workforce. The Toyota and Mercedes Benz dealerships share some staff members customers in Bellingham. The Toyota dealership has 32 team associates according to its web page, and the Mercedes Benz dealership has 23 personnel customers according to its web site.
